StarQuest Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 August 2026
Committed to the Google Play Families policy
StarQuest ("we", "our") makes the StarQuest – Parents and StarQuest Kids apps. This policy explains what information the apps collect, why we collect it, and how you can delete it.
Information we collect
- Account information (parents). When a parent creates an account we store their email address and the display names they choose for themselves and their children.
- Family data. Chores, tasks, rewards, stars, and family member details created in the app. This data lives in your family's private cloud database and is only used to make the app work.
- Crash logs and diagnostics. Anonymous technical data (device type, OS version, crash traces) via Google Firebase Crashlytics, used to keep the apps stable.
We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, messages, browsing history, or use advertising SDKs. The apps contain no ads.
Children's privacy
StarQuest is designed for families and complies with the Google Play Families policy and COPPA. Children do not create standalone accounts: a parent account controls the family. We do not require children to provide personal information beyond the display name chosen by their parent, and we do not display behaviour-based advertising.
How we use and store data
Data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), which is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We do not sell data, share it with advertisers, or use it for marketing.
Deletion
- In-app deletion: parents can remove family members from within the app.
- Full account deletion: email us at support@bilfinance.dev from the address used for your account and we will delete your family data and account within 30 days.
See Delete my StarQuest data for the full process.
